When LTE-M/NB-IoT meets renewable energy

Climate change has been a big threat to the earth for decades, and has become a global concern topic for each countries. Today, more and more countries have started to take action to protect the earth, including launching policies to protect the forest, environment, reduce air pollution, etc., in addition, more and more renewable energy has been used to supply the electricity to factories, residential area, and renewable energy includes like wind energy, solar energy has contributed certain percentages of electricity for people’s life today. While most of turbine and solar panel are installed and deployed at remote area, where wire cable is hard or expensive to get. So how to remote monitoring those tens of thousands of facilities have become a challenge.

Thanks to the narrow band LPWA technology, includes LTE CAT M1 and NB-IoT, and electriciy company now is able to find a solution to remote their facilities of turbine and solar panel anytime and anywhere.
By using Bivocom LTE-M/NB-IoT modem TW810-M and Router TR321-M, customer can connect their field devices through either Ethernet port, RS232, RS485, or Digital input/output and Analog input, to monitor the status and running time of facilities, and transfer the data to remote servers, sending alarm messages to maintenance center.
